This was wonderful...merely I had to make some changes. The original recipe calls for making ALOT of cornbread then only asks you to use three cups of it, which would accept only made 1/ii a pan of dressing anyway. I doubled the amount of cornbread (since there was more than than enough at that place) and doubled everything else too. I also added one can of cream of celery soup. It was YUMMY!! :)

This turned out a lot improve than I expected. My Mamaw is the only one in the family unit who makes dressing, only this yr I'thousand non going to exist abode for it. I decided to strike out on my own and give it a endeavor. I accept a couple of tips to add. I increased the craven stock by about a 1/4 cup and exist sure yous use a glass or light colored baking dish. The dark baking pan will dry this out. Also, I bankrupt the rules and used Jiffy (with saccharide) for my cornbread. I have to say, I like the added sweetness. It isn't as sweet as well-nigh other brands and so it still came out pretty good. It's not the same as Mamaw'due south, only I don't have left overs either.
04/14/2007
This is really similar to the recipe that my grandmother passed down to me. Yous can too substitute the chicken stock for the pan drippings if you lot are also cooking a turkey. When prepared with the drippings it is delicious and full of flavor.
12/eleven/2001
This has been the best version I accept found, made information technology for my role party and they went gaga, the primal is to chop onions and celery in proceesor so discover that the dressing is smooth. Highly recommended!
11/25/2006
This recipe is wonderful! To change it up a little though, I merely added 1 beaten egg. And so I added 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. The soup held the dressing together, made information technology perfectly moist, and added a really nice flavour to it!
11/26/2004
Don't brand the mistake I did, using the aforementioned amount of ground sage as this recipes calls for in dried sage. I may try it once more, but non before long.
11/eleven/2010
If you add together the sage to the chicken stock and warm the liquid upwards, it helps tremendously with the sage distribution. Therefore you won't feel you have to add together more or peradventure use less ( depending on your gustatory modality). I also add together green pepper to the sauté.... It's what we call the holy trinity of cooking. I also add cream of muchroom and chicken soup to the mixture also as prepackged breadcrubs... For added texture I boil the innards of the turkey ( or chicken) with the stock and use the extra meat inside the dressing. Oh yep, when my mom taught me to make this she told me to make sure the cornbread baked long enough for the bottom to turn at to the lowest degree medium brownish.
03/04/2005
I love this recipe! I was looking for one that was similar to my mother'southward. She never had a written recipe, and this was almost identical! Information technology'a simple and easy enough to add together extra ingredients for variations. Will definitely make this a Thanksgiving staple.
12/26/2011
Y'all can't phone call it grandmas if your making cornbread from a box. Go y'all a med size atomic number 26 skillet, estrus it in the oven with 3 tsp butter on 425. Take 2 cups of cornmeal ii cups butter milk and nearly 1/4 cup of flour. Take the skillet out of the oven with melted butter, pour the butter into your cornmeal mixture and stir. And then pour it all back into the skillet and put information technology in the oven for 25-30 mins at 425. This will make a huge difference in the way it taste. I too employ a roll of saltine crackers crushed and boiled eggs oh and thyme.
11/12/2007
This is and then close to my grandma's recipe. Her recipe calls for eight cups of corn bread, and 4 cups of cubed white staff of life. My grandmother always added a tablespoon of parsley and used 4 well beaten eggs. I CRAVE this every year. Also, if you stir this periodically while its cooking it will exist more fluffy than dense--maybe not equally pretty, only it will have a better texture!
05/18/2013
Amy, your grandmother well-nigh definitely knows how to cook. God bless her. I take tried 5 other cornbread dressing recipes during the past vi months in hopes of finding "the one". Was disappointed for one reason or some other each time - until I tried this i past your dear grandmother. A super hit! As I reluctantly added the entire 2 T. sage, I was afraid it wouldn't exist good. Boy was I in for a thrilling surprise! Information technology was superb! So like shooting fish in a barrel and so simple to just follow this excellent recipe as written; yet, I did accept another reviewer'due south communication and mix the sage in with warmed chicken stock. And, as per Jessica'due south 2007 review, I did stir the stuffing 3 times in the oven (one time every 10 minutes) and oh my, the texture was merely perfect and heavenly. I used my ain homemade cornbread recipe as we don't have Jiffy easily available here. Thank y'all and then much for posting this, Amy. Now I tin can finally relax at Christmas and Thanksgiving and not stress well-nigh "what if the dressing isn't any good". Salt, pepper and sage. Those are the only seasonings necessary. Can't rave near this plenty. Thank YOU and God bless your dearest grandmother ! ! !
11/16/2007
This is the mode I do my stuffing and accept for years. The but departure is when I broil the cornbread I put the seasonings in it. I unremarkably add more than subsequently but past letting the seasonings bake in the cornbread information technology really melds all the flavors together from the get go.
11/27/2002
the recipe is but wonderful as is. I dont understand the users beneath who "made a few modifications". Then, its a whole new recipe, not this 1 then your review actually wasnt necessary. I love Grandma'south Dressing, thanks Gama!!
08/27/2007
I've been looking for a good dressing recipe that would exist like to the kind of dressing my mother always made at Thanksgiving (we lost her to cancer 2 years ago), and this is it! The blending of flavors and moistness of this recipe is fantastic. I changed the craven stock to vegetable stock, increased the celery to i cup, and the crumbled cornbread to 4 cups, and it fit nicely in an viii x 8 inch dish (not sure why the recipe calls for a 9 ten 13 inch dish). Also, the potency of sage is directly affected by the blazon of sage (rubbed, ground or dried), and how onetime it is, then add together in 1 teaspoon increments, and taste. I grow and dry my own herbs, and 1 tablespoon was plenty, to me. Thank y'all Amy for a truthful five star recipe that not only tastes heavenly, only brings dorsum memories of my mother. Highly recommended!!!
11/17/2009
I take made this recipe EVERY Thanksgiving for 3 years. Information technology's ever perfect and always a hit. I NEVER change anything and I NEVER have leftovers!
ten/05/2010
i love this dressing. reminds me of the dressing we had for the holidays back home. i added a trivial extra onion and celery because we love it. adding some chopped boiled egg is proficient also. cracking recipe.update: fabricated this for family christmas gathering saturday.it turned out bully. it was good way back when i made information technology the first fourth dimension, but i tweaked it a bit and it was even better! i added almost 1/ii to three/four tea spoon of sage. we like information technology "sage" but i think commencement with nigh 1/4 teaspoon and arrange to taste. 2 tb was a bit too much. also i added actress celery and onion. i added nigh one/2 can more broth and per other cooks suggestions, i added a can of cream of chicken soup. ( i think cream of celery would exist neat too). equally others have said if you don't want it to dry out out arrive pretty soupy and as information technology baked it will firm upwardly merely correct. i also added about a 1/4 teaspoon of marjoram and ground savory. and 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning. i think it all fabricated a skilful difference. also sense of taste equally you go and arrange to your liking. this time i didnt add together chopped boiled eggs, but it is good either way. everyone loved it and i am definately cooking this for our Christmas dinner at habitation. Notation: also it saves time to brand the bread (i used martha white buttermilk cornbread mix) a 24-hour interval ahead and crumble it up and put in a big ziploc or container. and i chopped my onion and celery the dark before and stored them in the refrigerator. makes things easier when you start cooking.
12/13/2010
I take used this recipe quite often and it is not bad everytime...I do recommend just using 1 egg, or at to the lowest degree I adopt information technology that way...less cakey.
08/09/2013
This recipe is a lot like the one my family uses (my grandmas). Only the chicken stock they're asking for is from the chicken nosotros eddy, and shred up to put in the dressing. And we broil our corn breadstuff in a cast iron skillet. Green onion is good in information technology also.
09/03/2010
used martha whites corn bread and muffin mix (used 2 pkgs of 6 oz each) and only 1 egg--the results were great. My husband said this was the best dressing he had ever had.
01/21/2012
This was the first time I fabricated dressing and I am so glad to have called this recipe. It was great! I did double the recipe, which filled a 13x9 pan.
01/01/2012
In my version I used gluten-free cornbread (I have Celiac Disease) and I added 2.5 cups chicken goop. This is by far the best cornbread stuffing I've tried. It is going to be a new tradition at my holiday tabular array!
12/sixteen/2011
The key to really great cornbread dressing is before you place in the oven to broil; make sure the dressing is soupy. This volition insure the dressing non to dry out. I also use twenty-four hours onetime bread cut up in chunks and of course sage.
12/25/2010
The cornbread was DELICIOUS, after making few modifications, nevertheless. The amount of crumbled cornbread given in the directions is about half of what is prepared. Non using the full corporeality results in soupy dressing prior to baking when all of the ingredients are incorporated. Baking it at the fourth dimension suggested left it soupy, and after an 1 1/two hours of baking, information technology was creamy, which is what I'm not used to. I found that using all of the crumbled cornbread gave the dressing more texture after it was broiled. Also, the amount of dried sage listed on the ingredients is way too much and would overpower the dish. I suggest using 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon.
12/31/2011
2 tablespoons of sage is manner too much for this recipe. I used all of the cooked cornbread, which is more than the required two cups, and the sage was totally overpowering. I re-made it and only used 1 teaspoon, and that was perfect.
09/15/2014
This recipe is ok just information technology there are more ingredients that my granny used, like a picayune poultry seasoning, chopped livers, gizzards and the meat from the turkey neck. And considering we didn't similar dry food, former she would add a can of cream of chicken soup along with the stock from the boiled meat (liver, gizzards and the turkey meat), celery and onions.
12/05/2009
I fabricated this for Thanksgiving and it turned out very tasty. After I mixed all the ingredients and gave it just a footling taste, it seem to be missing something else so I as well added approximately 2 tablespoons of poultry seasoning and it turned out the way I like my dressing to taste.
11/24/2006
The all-time thanksgiving stuffing ever. I prepared the nighttime earlier and baked it the mean solar day of Thanksgiving. My family loved it.
xi/20/2014
Every yr at Thanksgiving I called my mother for her cornbread dressing recipe. This is the first yr I won't be able to call her. She told me the aforementioned thing year later year (I enjoyed the call, looked forward to it.) I did a search and here it is!!! This is identical to my mother's! Thanks for posting! Information technology was always my favorite!
07/14/2009
Phone call me the odd one out, just I did the recipe as is and I loved it. I've never fabricated cornbread dressing and never grew up on it and then I take nothing to compare information technology to, really. Not to dry...non to wet. I did add more than sage considering I beloved alot of sage in my stuffing. I fabricated this with baked chicken breasts, gravy, and vegetables. A keeper!
12/03/2010
This is a nifty receipe! I love dressing a times of the yr! The only matter I did differently was I only used a i/4 teaspoon of sage.
03/24/2008
UPDATE 2: Made this for a Christmas lunch for a coiffure of 15 hungry men. This is a keeper. I forgot to add together eggs. But followed the recipe other. I did add together a tad more celery, onions and added bong pepper. Yummmy! UPDATE: I fabricated this for Thanksgiving. This was my offset fourth dimension hosting Thanksgiving for the family. We had 40 guests. Anyway, thanks to Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing recipe, mine dressing was the first big pan to run out. There was a smaller pan and information technology was only one-half-touched. Yum! I am thankful for the this dressing recipe this Thanksgiving! Will be making this for years to come. Skillful bones recipe overall, and I will be making more of this, and making some modifications to information technology. I would add a little more celery and onions in the futurity. I added 3 eggs instead of ii. Be sure to chop the eggs pocket-sized enough because if yous don't, the rubbery texture is more pronounced than when the eggs are chopped into smaller chunks. :) And finally sprinkle more sage on the top earlier blistering it because my bf loves sage. Accept fun modifying it to arrange your sense of taste!!!
04/19/2009
I take never fabricated dressing before until I saw this recipe on the website on Easter. Its a calendar week after Easter and I have fabricated it twice and it is gone the same 24-hour interval with only five people eating it and 3 of them are kids. I made past corn staff of life, cooked only celery, left out the eggs, added ane tall tin of cream of chicken and 1 small can of craven broth and both times information technology was perfect. I dont know if people still read this website but this is an excellent recipe and I will proceed to use it. Thanks a million.
12/24/2011
This came out great. I agree with Jeanne. Exist careful of the liquid and use plenty Onions and Celery make the dressing. I as well added chicken gizzards in mine. I however think growing up with the heavenly scent of celery and onions sauteing. I knew it was a special twenty-four hour period with those smells in my mother and both grandmother's home
05/17/2006
This was very easy to make, although it came out a fiddling dryer than I would have liked. Could have been my oven since I take a gas oven and it tends to cook a trivial faster than most... and then I think I will try it again, but melt less time. Other than that, I idea it had a dainty flavor and practise intend on making it again. Thank you for the recipe.
08/28/2010
This was a great recipe. It came out great with Jiffy mix for me. I volition make agian and agian!
xi/28/2010
This is an splendid recipe. We made cornbread using cornmeal so nosotros could determine how sweet or not sweetness to brand the cornbread. I also changed the amount of sage used (I cutting it to 1/2 of what the recipe calls for). We likewise added stock slowly until the dressing reached the correct consistency that we wanted. We did not use all the stock. Cheers for the great recipes, it's a keeper!!
11/28/2011
Nobody I know uses a boxed mix because they incorporate sugar and that's a "sin" to a Southerner. I made my cornbread from scratch. It was pretty good, merely too crumbly to me. Will use more broth and egg next fourth dimension. Also add more than celery.
11/26/2010
This tasted awesome. I used 2 boxes of the Jiffy cornbread mix and double the directions for the box and used a 8x8 pan to melt both boxes together. In the end I merely used half of the cooked cornbread to equal iii cups so not sure if you tin can only employ an 8oz mix instead. So I did use a 9x13 pan to cook the entire affair and thought information technology was sparse in the finish. So again for me if you want a thicker dressing mayhap utilize a smaller pan and melt a bit longer. Other than these things and non sure if I did something wrong, this is a keeper. The flavor is fantastic, it's easy to brand.
xi/27/2010
Made this for my family. Information technology was my first Thanksgiving in my new habitation and my family unit and in laws loved it! I fabricated information technology exactly every bit the recipe calls for and information technology was a hit. Its so easy to make you cant get wrong. This will now be the recipe I employ all the time thnx!
11/27/2013
I have lived my whole life in the South and this recipe is similar to the way my family has made cornbread dressing for generations. We don't saute the onions and celery because they cook in the dressing. We always apply stock from the turkey, so be certain to put a little water in the pan where you roast the turkey or else make some bootleg stock. The canned stuff doesn't cut it. Pour the stock, the amount depends on the amount of cornbread and biscuit yous have. I e'er add a few biscuits. Crumble the cornbread fine. When the stock has soaked into the cornbread add the eggs, onions, and celery and then add buttermilk until the dressing makes a batter. Put in some sage and await a while and then gustatory modality. Sage gets stronger when it sets. Add some dryed basil, garlic, salt and black pepper, and air-condition overnight. Bake at 400 and baste with butter several times every bit the dressing cooks. When you take information technology out of the fridge you might have to add together some more than liquid because it tends to soak in.
11/27/2008
Yay!!! My first endeavor at making dressing for Thanksgiving and information technology was a HUGE success! My husband said that it was even better than his mom'due south...which is really hard to beat! I was so nervous to make my very first Thanksgiving dinner, and thanks to this recipe, I'll never be agape once again! It was phenomenal!
06/04/2013
Delicious and easy! Does well with modifications, likewise. This time I added about 3/4 cup of corn and a tablespoon of fresh thyme. It was a hit - even my toddler loved information technology! Next time I'yard thinking nearly cooking sausage with the onion and celery before calculation it to the rest of the ingredients.
12/04/2010
Made this tonite..beginning time I've e'er made dressing..I idea it was great. Followed the directions exactly as written. Dressing was a little more than moist than I've eaten earlier, simply I thought that was a plus. This is on my side dish list definately. Thanks for the recipe.
06/20/2013
Good, but toooo sweet!
11/14/2014
This is almost my family unit recipe. I mix my own cornbread with a package of dressing mix - non the cubed option. For years I watched my female parent put together her toasted bread and cornbread, but the prepared package of dressing mix allows skipping the labor part of the bread prep. Too, the bundle has the flavorings almost perfect to begin with. Gently allowing the celery and onion to soften in the butter is key hither. My mom finished off this recipe with milk to get in less dense. The aroma from the baked dressing brings them in from the football game game, believe me!
01/31/2011
I love dear honey this recipe! The only cautionary tale I have is that if you make it with brand new sage (not fresh, merely a newly opened container of dried) it will come out quite green!!
12/01/2010
Made this for Thanksgiving and information technology was a hit. Coming from a household that never made cornbread dressing fifty-fifty my kids loved information technology and I got rave reviews from anybody. This 1 is a keeper.
12/25/2005
Perfect. But like my mother used to make, simply she never wrote down the recipe. Perfect.
02/05/2009
For the first time in my life I made cornbread dressing and I used this recipe. It was great. Everyone loved it. I adjusted the seasonings for my taste and information technology turned out great. I added the meat from boiled turkey necks and that sent it over the tiptop!! thanks for a neat recipe.
11/sixteen/2007
I made this recipe for the first time 3yrs agone and it's been a staple on our table every year. It is the best dressing I've always eaten. THANK Y'all!!!
12/16/2009
Made this Very good only I bumped Cal upward to 50 the amount of people I was cooking for and it was yet very very adept niggling flake messy to make but well worth it. Along with eight smoked turkeys making once more this Satuarday same amount can't waite...
xi/17/2007
This is the recipe I use to brand dressing. When I'm out of sage I use poultry seasoning. Information technology works just every bit good. NEVER use Jiffy or whatever other cornbread mix that has sugar.
11/11/2009
This was delicious! No changes necessary, first-class as is. I agree with other reviewers about making certain there's no sugar in your cornbread. It'south bully if it'south got a little sweet to it, but would be better without.
11/05/2006
Nifty recipie, I added some stale cranberries and slivered almonds as well.
02/27/2011
Everyone who tasted this corn breadstuff loved it. I have doubled and information technology still came out perfect.
11/26/2013
I have a recipe I have used for 35 years that is similar and uses poultry seasoning in identify of the sage uses pepper but no salt. The broth usually has enough salt in it without extra. I am the simply one in the family that does the dressing.
12/25/2010
This was very good and had wonderful flavor. I used onion powder though about 1/2 tsp and some dried celery about 2 T. I used packaged corn bread crumbs Pepperidge Farm brand. I left out the eggs. Great recipe, but like grandma always made. Thanks.
04/13/2010
Great Recipe, Easy; however, I cut the Sage down to 2 Teaspoons rather than 2 Tablespoons. Turned out bang-up tho!!!
03/11/2008
Yum! This was peachy. It had the sweet I was looking for with the cornbread, and just the right amount of spice to counteract it. 1 matter I changed; for the offset fourth dimension, I used merely one tablespoon of sage, since I didn't know how I would like it. It was perfect. Just utilize a footling less like I did if yous don't desire it to overpower the other flavors like the onion and celery.
01/09/2011
Awesome dressing....succulent with simplicity. I'thou used of doing a dressing adding seafood and meat; but sometimes yous just desire something unlike. I fixed it for Christmas 2010 with ham and smothered green beans and my family unit and I loved information technology. I gear up it sometimes when it'south non a holiday.I sometimes cook this dish and add real lump crab meat, and craven meat. For chicken, I would eddy chicken thighs with seasoning and interruption upwards;and add in dressing mixture. And then bake!!!!
xi/29/2003
I didn't like the mode this looked or tasted.
11/29/2012
I used the Grandma's Cornbread recipe as my base, then followed the recipe with a few amendments. I used Fit & Active chicken goop from Aldi, added iii T of sage and made sure not to over mix. Once I combined everything, I added ane tin of cream of chicken soup and i can of foam of mushroom soup. The effect was the all-time dressing I ever fabricated. Ordinarily my dressing gets potent and yous take to add milk to loosen information technology up for leftovers. Non now. The consistency was perfect. Again, don't over mix it. I lightly greased my dutch oven and baked it it the oven covered for 20 min, then uncovered for another 15. Thanks for this wonderful recipe.
eleven/27/2010
I have never fabricated dressing from scratch simply after reading these amazing reviews I decided to give this one a try. It was absolutely the very best cornbread dressing that I take e'er had!!!! Now I made some changes. I used two boxes of Jiffy and accidentally messed up the recipe, I added way to much milk and ended upwardly calculation more corn repast to it (I was following the pancake recipe on the box, oops*) it ended up cutting the saccharide, to my delight. I used fresh Sage, added turkey meat, and I used a cup of turkey drippings
11/26/2013
I was very curious about this recipe and amazed when I read it. This recipe has been in the Texas side of my family for over 75 years. Some may recollect the corporeality of sage is a piddling too much only for us the sage makes the difference. The merely slight difference was my Grandmother would as well add a few crumbled slices of dried white bread. Everything else is identical. This dressing is on my menu every twelvemonth for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
11/30/2003
Amy, Cheers, thanks, thank yous. This is a great recipe. Quick to set and delicious. This is the i item both of my kids requested specifically for Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing it with us. :o)
01/05/2011
I have only made dressing one other time in my life and didn't fifty-fifty know where that recipe was. I found this ane and liked the reviews. It was a hit!
10/02/2011
I have never made this earlier simply I honey the way it tastes! This was a fabulous recipe to use being a beginner! I added i i/2 loving cup more of celery, onion, red pepper. I as well added more chicken broth to get in moist. I added some smoked turkey meat likewise to add a little meat flavor! The baking time was to short due to the added broth but it came out great! I recommend this to anyone!
02/04/2006
Easy and succulent!! Will now exist a holiday must have.
12/22/2006
i take been making this every thanksgiving, its cracking!
11/29/2010
I have been looking for a recipe that resembles my Grandmother's cornbread dressing for years. My Grandmother never wrote recipes down and no one thought to get her dressing recipe from her. This one was it! I sabbatum downwardly on Thanksgiving and took one bite and actually said 'oh my god that'south crawly!'. Thanks and then much for posting. My whole family loved it and we are going to make this our standard dressing recipe from now on.
eleven/18/2012
I did apply Jiffy and it turned out great. I did non employ the sage at all. It was also helpful to let sit down virtually fifteen to set up afterward taking out of oven. It was even meliorate the adjacent day, so making a day ahead and rewarming information technology in the oven was perfect!
10/01/2008
I love this recipe! I brand information technology all the time for my 18 calendar month old son and he loves it (so does the balance of the family unit). I usually add more veggies (carrots, zucchini, broccoli, whatever I take on manus), that way he's getting actress nutrients, and then I cutting information technology into squares and he tin feed it to himself. Thank you for a cracking recipe and for the inspiration to turn information technology into a KID FRIENDLY food.
12/25/2011
I love it. My grnadma had a recipie just like this..the only affair different was she fabricated her ownn cornbread. But since i had no actual recipe i looked and came across this one. Its very easy and completed my holiday repast.
09/13/2011
yummy!
04/25/2011
AMY, GMA pulled through!!! Thank you for sharing.
11/26/2010
Pretty good. I felt like it had a bit besides much sage in it, only everyone else idea information technology was good. Will probably make again next twelvemonth.
11/09/2003
I am a veteran cook and somehow I have never been the 1 to make stuffing. I tried this for my very first effort at making stuffing. WOW! Very simple and the receipe is keen as is. Also, it is very easy to dress information technology up. I discovered my hubby like cranberries, apples and raisen's added.
12/01/2010
Very expert, I will make information technology over again
12/24/2011
I used Jiffy and mixed this too much and it got besides soggy. My female parent always said the stuffing was the toughest, which is why information technology'south the best! I will have to try some other recipe next Christmas :(
12/sixteen/2008
I love cornbread dressing... I have fabricated this for years except I bake my ain cornbread a day or two earlier and I don't add the egg. I can eat it before it's fifty-fifty baked and yous tin never get also much sage...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
11/25/2010
I've only fabricated dressing once before and didn't like the results, but this recipe worked out very well for me. I started by making a 9X13 pan of the Buttery Corn Bread from this site with all sugar except ane tablespoon omitted (very important equally it's ordinarily very sweet) and let it sit covered on the counter for 2 days. Information technology yielded at least double the amount of cornbread I needed, and then I doubled the liquid and increased the vegetables and seasoning to gustation. I too added a pound of crumbled sausage. It fabricated a very full 9X13 pan of dressing with the extra cornbread and sausage. I assembled it the twenty-four hours before Thanksgiving and refrigerated information technology overnight, then baked it in the morning. Due to the extra liquid I used, I bumped the temperature up to 400 and baked a few actress minutes to brand everything meld and absorb. Skilful texture and taste-- anybody liked information technology at Thanksgiving dinner, and I'd definitely make it once more. Thanks for the recipe!
11/23/2001
This year was the outset year that I didn't employ Stovetop Stuffing. I made this cornbread stuffing and it was great, and really like shooting fish in a barrel to brand. Everyone loved it.
10/08/2009
Nosotros loved this! I forgot to add the sage but it was still excellent. We used leeks instead of onions due to allergies and I added two tbls of minced garlic. Made information technology fabulous.
12/06/2011
I am sure that this was skilful for what it was supposed to exist...only brand sure you know what you want with this recipe. I was looking for a great cornbread stuffing recipe. I should accept made the cornbread from scratch, only this had good reviews and so I thought I would requite it a try. Mine looked exactly like the picture. The consistency was as well soupy and mushy even later on I cooked it extra. Besides it was also sugariness for our tastes even though I used a very depression sugar cornbread mix.
01/07/2010
Fabricated this for our Thanksgiving dinner. I take never fabricated cornbread dressing before and this was a corking recipe. I will use it from now on.
11/17/2010

Use FRESH sage! I employ a trivial less than i/4 loving cup (coarsely chopped). When you lot saute the onions and celery, add together the sage at the end and saute for another minute. Fresh sage makes all the deviation! People who say they hate sage will dearest it.
